Social workers have a key role to play in supporting children in care to achieve their potential and thrive in education. Working closely with carers and schools, social workers should work to minimise change for children in care and keep Virtual School Education Advisors updated with any adverse changes that might impact their education, especially if a child has no school place or is at risk of losing their school provision for any reason.
