Parking standards for new developments – Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)

Our Parking Standards for New Developments Supplementary Planning Document (PDF) provides detailed guidance on parking for cycles, cars (including disabled parking) and powered two-wheeler parking for both residential and non-residential developments. This supplementary planning document (SPD) includes layouts and dimensions for parking spaces for various contexts.

We adopted this SPD on 1 August 2023; it is a material consideration in determining planning applications. All development proposals will be required to demonstrate that they have taken it into consideration.
