Direct payments can only be provided after a social worker has assessed your child’s needs.
The assessment will consider the support your child needs and how those needs can best be met.
A social worker will assess the needs of your child and your family to decide what support is required.
If direct payments are an appropriate way to meet those needs, they may be offered as part of your child’s support plan.
If your child already has a social worker and you would like to know more about direct payments, speak to them about whether direct payments may be suitable for your child.
