Working in partnership with Boditrax, we're providing health and wellbeing kiosks across Central Bedfordshire at various sites.
What the kiosks can help you do
The kiosks will provide up to 15 different results in 30 seconds, including:
- weight
- fat mass
- muscle mass
- visceral (abdominal) fat level
- metabolic rate
They do this using two different electrical frequencies that pass freely through your bare feet.
You can use this great information to self-monitor and continue to improve your healthy lifestyle choices by:
- running a body composition scan
- completing physical activity and wellbeing questionnaires
- setting goals
- tracking progress
- creating a personal account, accessible via an app, so you can view your own dashboard, away from the kiosk
- using self-help guides for exercise, diet / nutrition and mental health
You don't need to be a member at your leisure centre to use a kiosk
If you would like to use a kiosk within a leisure facility, you do not need to be a current member. However, if you would like more information about memberships, please speak to one of the customer advisors, who will be able to advise you of the various options available.
Where the kiosks will be available
The kiosks will be located in the following community buildings:
-----------
We've been working hard to put in place an exciting new health and wellbeing initiative for all residents to access.
Within our leisure centres, libraries and other buildings, we're introducing brand new health and wellbeing kiosks (made by a company called boditrax). These machines use complex technology to give you a range of results on your body composition in 30 seconds.
Find out more about the kiosks, on boditrax's website.
Each kiosk has a section to help you set goals, so you can improve your results. You can also request to be signposted to services that will help support you with making changes to benefit your health and wellbeing.
